Another Charge of the 68 Seen Over The Hill

And once again, another day in March when all that built-up adrenaline bursts into ecstasy or sorrow, into jubilant triumph or bemused surprise. Like my charges, I’m still taking it in, after all the craziness has died down and the staff room settles into a mellowed silence. Another group seen over that hill once perceived an insurmountable pass.
A few pleasant surprises and a few relieved ones. But overall the 68 acquitted themselves as judiciously as their seniors. As I try to plunge myself into my sea of red, I know that the next few months will be another journey of grit that hopefully pays off in the end.
